You will need to use the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives.
Pick one of the examples and answer the following questions about this document. The narrative you choose does not have to be in written form. You may choose to respond to the audio or video ones too. You do not want to list the questions and answer them but rather, answer them in paragraph form.
Your goal should be to spend about a page writing in response to one of the narratives.
• Who is the author of the literacy narrative? Provide some background based on what they write.
• What kind of narrative are they presenting? Explain in general terms whether they are writing something comprehensive or focusing on what part.
• Where does this story take place? Their background can have a dramatic effect on their experience. Learning English in the United States is different from learning English in another country. Some schools have privileges' other don't.
• When does this take place? Does the author write about their distant past or their more recent past?
• How does this experience affect them? Show the ways their narrative has affected them response to one of the narratives.
