You work in a law office and have been assigned to work on a case whose facts are described below. Ann Shon's fiancé Adam was going on a business trip to the Bahamas. Ann drove Adam to the airport. After he boarded the plane, she returned to her car and saw an explosion in the air. She and other visitors at the airport were informed that the plane had self-destructed. Being shocked and distraught, Ann started driving back. On the way, her car hit a tree. She was hospitalized for her injuries from the accident, which included loss of sight. She became depressed and was subsequently placed in a psychiatric ward, where she is still confined. Ann's mother files a case blaming the airline authorities for all that happened.
