So far, we have discussed topics such as public education, the college application process, tuition reimbursement, bail reform, affirmative action in college selection, grades, standardized tests, and the removal of Aleamong. You have also read Minow's essay considering how we as a society tackle the question of Equity and equality. We have also read "Harrison Bergeron," which suggests that equity measures may adversely stifle competition, innovation, creativity, or individual development. So you are free to consider a topic that considers the impact of an action that might adversely stifle growth, either individually, as a society, or from a business perspective. (For instance, why merit-based pay or grades or rewards is necessary.
