PART 1:What is your persuasive speech topic thesis statement? Write in 1-2 full sentences. Make sure to include in your thesis statement your topic AND what side you are on.
Part 2: Post two arguments/points that support your topic and post two arguments/points that are arguments against your topic (and support the opposition). Make sure it is clear which are supporting points and which are opposing points.
Being persuasive is about understanding your audience AND understanding opposing points. "What would someone on the other side of this topic say?" For example, if my topic were, "Why we should grow our own vegetables." and I knew an opposing point would be "Because that is too hard." then I would make sure one of my main points would be on the easiest vegetables to grow with the easiest set up in order to convince my audience that is it not as hard as it first seems.
Part 3: Lastly, pick one classmate's post and reply with an additional supporting point to their stance and an additional opposition point against their stance. Our goal here is to be tactful and help our classmates understand every side of their topic so that when they go to do their speech, they will have the best argument that they can
A classmate post: (at least 125 words should be ur response to them)
