Activity Instructions
In this activity, you will be reflecting on your leadership philosophy-the values and beliefs that will guide your behaviors on a daily basis, especially as they relate to leading a distributed team. You will then use a guided activity to create a written statement of your leadership philosophy. This statement will be immediately useful to share with new team members as you describe your leadership approach and the working culture of the team. If you have not done this exercise with your team before, you could certainly incorporate this into a future teambuilding exercise. For this activity, the team you have in mind might be one that you currently lead or one that you lead in the future if you do not currently lead a team.

Watch the video Leadership philosophy and how to clarify yours. (Links to an external site.) and complete the guided activity within it.
Write your statement of leadership philosophy and a 1-2-page scholarly rationale for it, using APA writing style (most current edition).
Incorporate the use of at least 3 of the required materials for the week in references and active in-text citations.
The paper should include a discussion of the central questions in the activity, including:

What is your ideal leadership style?
(Referencing Module 2 materials will be helpful to answer this question.)

How would you like to be described by others?

What do you see as your main job as a leader?

How will you treat others?

How will you keep the team moving forward toward goals?
