Question: How will this future generation fit in with the new market of jobs? Since the pandemic there has been a decline in skills for jobs. This will leave fewer higher paying jobs getting taken and less money for this future generation. This generation is taking the short term success to afford living instead of taking the long term college route. This is scary for society because there are less people for those higher paying jobs making, businesses produce less , higher prices, and less jobs needed for jobs now.
What I have learned from this new situation is that the higher paying jobs are less competitive than before. I thought it was the opposite because of how the cost of living is increasing and people are trying to make more money. What I knew about this subject was that society hit a decline and a very small percentage of people benefited from the pandemic. There are not as many employees needed to work stores anymore and now only 50% of those workers are needed; This leads to less jobs available. But I know college students have declined, especially men finding jobs that don't need a degree. This is scary for people to afford the cost of living in the future.
The question I have is will women eventually make more than men? I know women are the majority of college enrollments which means women will be in more higher paying jobs. Also will wealth be more held by a small population more and more as we live? I will use this
information for motivation because there's more opportunities for me to pursue the career I want too. This brings awareness for me to get a great job to afford these high living costs. But I see the graduation rates have been declining before the pandemic and I wonder why that is? This is a problem for society having less people having wealth.
In conclusion, I learned how the pandemic affected society and the new world up ahead. I didn't know that the enrollment went down that much. I know there's more different jobs now after the pandemic that people are pursuing instead of college. People can't afford college and
need money so I understand why people can't pursue a degree. This is scary for society hearing people having to work 2 jobs to afford to live now and their less available for low paying jobs.
