Question: A 52 year old male pateient goes to the emergency room. He was experiancing muscle pain ( generalized), back spasms, headaches, and appeared irritated and restless. The backspasms presented earlier that afternoon and progressed to be extremely painful. Eight days ago he was working on his historical home when a nail punctured his right leg. The wound appeared to be filled with pus, although he kept cleaning it. The wound was sampled for microscopic examination and culture. The patient did not remeber having a tetnus shot. The patient has diabetes and mild astma and is currently on high blood pressure medication (beta blocker). His back spasms appear to have very tight contractions resulting in extreme pain for the patient
