I. What is your definition of art and what is the purpose of art? Have you ever been to an art museum before? Why or why not? Are art museums important? If so, why?

II. Introduce the artwork you selected and why you selected it. Provide background information on the artist and the artwork itself.

III. Make at least two distinct & descriptive connections between the artwork and the major religion it directly relates to. You can do this through highlighting any major tenets or cultural aspects of the major religion and connecting them to aspects of the artwork you selected. This will demonstrate your knowledge of the religion and will provide the context in which you will discuss the details for the meaning/interpretation of the artwork it relates to. Ex: Last Supper (artwork) - major religion (Christianity)

IV. Describe your own personal impression and interpretation of the artwork. Comment on as many details as you can from the art piece and attribute your own meaning them.

V. Write your own original creative piece based on or inspired by the selected artwork, which can include, but is not limited to a fictional narrative, poetry, song or rap lyrics. This is your individual opportunity to create your own artistic work!
