After watching the lecture, complete the following:
Part 1 - Pick a persuasive topic that interests you, then find 3 sources you could use in a persuasive speech and create an annotated references page. Apply the CARS checklist from the video and state, for each source, why you believe the source is credible.
Part 2 - Next, apply the "Who, What, When, How, Where, and Why?" technique from the lecture video to write out an oral citation for each of the 3 sources that could use in your speech.

After watching the lectures and completing the Public Speaking Anxiety Questionnaire - discuss in a minimum of 2 pages, single spaced document - your own public speaking anxieties. What is your current level of comfort and experience with public speaking? Is it related? - meaning have you become more comfortable and confident with time and practice?
Now, Reflect back on your own speaking anxieties. Answer the following:
Question 1: What are the specific anxieties you have? and how do they normally manifest for you - (i.e) Are they physiological (sweating, rapid heart beat, nauseous? or do they manifest in physical ways - (i.e) stuttering, forgetting the words, fainting, etc?
Question 2: When do you normally experience them? (i.e) Do they occur when you prepare to present or when you get in front of the audience?
Is the severity of your anxiety impacted based on the audience (i.e) in class? vs. at work?
Question 3: What do you usually do when you experience speaking anxiety? (How do you manage the affect of the anxiety)

Question 4: Discussing a time you previously experienced speaking anxiety. How did it impact your ability to achieve a goal? then,
Reflect and discuss what specific practices from this week's lessons that (had you known) you could have implemented to lessen your anxieties.
Question 5: What's your plan for moving forward? (what will you do in the future in terms of both preparation, and in management of anxieties?)
Reflection -Leading and Working in Teams
After watching the lecture complete the following 2 part reflection:
Question 1.Consider an effective team you have participated in, or observed. Identify the characteristics that contributed to this team's productivity. Provide an example of how the team enacted each of these characteristics. Then use concepts from this lecture to suggest at least one way the team could have improved.

Question 2.Utilizing the 7 types of power and influence from this lecture and chapter, analyze the types of power that exist in a workgroup you are familiar with. Which members use each type of power? Who exerts the most influence? Which of the 7 powers do you possess? Which types of power contribute most and least to your group's effectiveness?
