Question - Budgeting - What is your current and anticipated future income (work, grants, loans, etc.)? After I graduated in high school, I am planning to take medical school to become Paediatrician in the future. The average paediatrician salary in Canada is over $200,000 per year. Entry level positions start at $81,000 per year while most experienced workers make up to $300,000 per year. But during medical school should work a part time job that makes me almost $2000 per month.

Will you have program or material costs (tuition, apprenticeship fees, uniforms, tools, etc.)? The tuition fees and uniforms it will ranges from $6,000 to $16,000 per year for Canadian Residents.

What living and monthly expenses are you expecting (cell phone, rent, etc.)?

What are your needs? What are your wants?

Is there any government financial assistance available to you? How about bursaries, scholarships, or awards? Will you receive any financial support from your family or community?

Will you be working at a part-time job throughout high school and saving money for your post-secondary plans?
