Your vertical spring accelerometer has a 60 g mass hanging from it. You climb aboard the roller coaster that starts at rest and watch the accelerometer read 0.4 for 5 seconds while descending the first peak and then change to 2.9 for 2.5 seconds while going through the bottom of the first hill beginning your climb to the second peak. Your fully loaded car, complete with screaming people, is 2900 kg.

What is your acceleration going down the hill?

What is your acceleration bottoming out at the bottom of the hill?
