In the assembly step, suppose there are upper and lower specification limits on the current drawn by the driver chips in an assembled unit. Assume exceeding the spec limits for current is the only failure mechanism in the assembly step. Suppose the assembly step has a process capability index of 1.5 and a process performance index of 0.8.
