Two carts A and B of equal mass mA = mB = 0.622 kg are on an air track. Cart A is moving with speed vi = 0.95 m/s towards cart B which is at rest. Cart A collides with cart B and the two stick together and move as one object after the collision. (Let the initial direct of cart A be positive.)
