You have invented a new game and are playing it with your friends. You have a projectile launcher that fires a brick (mass=2 kg) with a speed and angle that you can adjust. The brick then enters a tube that has no friction and exits the tube in to horizontal " landing strip", which has MUk= 0.30 and MUs= o.45. By trail and error you have found that when you set the launcher angle to 37 degrees and speed to 12 m/s that the brick enters the tube at its motion's max height. Location A is where the block starts, Location B is at opening of the tube ( the opening is not bigger than the block), Location C is at sloped portion inside the tube, Location D is at the other openning of the tube, Location is where the block comes to rest.

A. Draw the Free Body Diagram s for the blocks at the B, C, and D.

B. What is the work done by friction during the block's motion?

C. What is the block's acceleration from D to E( Magnitude and Direction)

D. What is the block's displacement in the x-direction from A to B?

E. If Y=0 at location A, what is the value of Y at point B?

F. What is the Kinetic energy of the block at location D?

G. How does the kinetic energy the block has at A and D relate? Is KEa is bigger , smaller, same as KEd?

H. Where along the brick's motion is mechanical energy conserved? ( in what intervals (e.g. from B to C)?
