A pendulum composed of mass m1= 1.0 kg on the end of a string of length 1.0m initially makes an angle of 45 degrees with the vertical. A second mass, m2= 6.0kg is at rest below the point from which the pendulum swings. The pendulum is released, the two masses collide, and the collision is elastic.

a) What is the velocity of m1 just before the collision?

b) What is the velocity of m1 just after the collision?

c) After the collision, m1 swings back up. what is the max height it reaches?
