Case Study: Dr. Tullis and his wife (also Dr. Tullis) wanted to train their cat, Reptar to do tricks. They had a little clicker that makes a loud 'CLICK' sound, and walked around the house, randomly clicking it while Reptar perched in the living room silently judging them (his preferred state). Then they sat down with Reptar, and used the flash on her camera to flash a bright light at the same time the click was heard. Reptar blinked because of the flash, and looked mildly annoyed. They repeated this process with Reptar 4 times, then clicked the clicker, without using the flash. He still blinked! (He also looked really annoyed as well, but that's a different issue).
