A copper sphere having a diameter of 12.0 mm is initially at a uniform temperature of 100?C. It is then suddenly exposed to an air-forced-convection environment at 20? which produces a convection heat-transfer coefficient of 97 W/m2 - ?C. Embedded in the sphere is a chromel-alumel thermocouple to indicate the temperature as a function of time. How long will it take for the thermocouple to indicate a temperature of 25?C?
