As a final project for the "theme" section, choose music from a movie or a favorite TV show and explain in TWO paragraphs:

1) What is the theme of this movie/show? What support do you have for this theme?

2) Why does this music lend itself so perfectly to this particular theme? Be sure you explore the following:

• Is the music loud? Soft? Does the volume vary to specify how the theme changes?
• When is the music fast? Slow? How does the tempo add to what the director is trying to get across?
• Is there something about this music that makes it memorable? What? Why is it appropriate to this theme?
• Is the music in sections to specify particular parts of the story? What kind of transition is there from one section to another and how does the transition relate to what the characters might be learning or discovering?

Paragraph one should deal with what you think the theme of the story/movie is and the support you have for that.
