Consider a beam that is 2 meter long and supported by a rope. It is pressed against the wall. There is no friction between the beam and the wall. If the beam has a mass of 2 kilogram and a sign with a mass of 10 kilogram is hung off of the end of the beam, can the system be in static equilibrium? Determine what is the tension in the rope? Note the angle is 30 degrees.
