It is possible to make a thermometer by sealing gas in a rigid container and measuring the absolute pressure. Such a constant-volume gas thermometer is placed in an ice-water bath at 0.00 . After reaching thermal equilibrium, the gas pressure is recorded as 58.1 . The thermometer is then placed in contact with a sample of unknown temperature. After the thermometer reaches a new equilibrium, the gas pressure is 65.1. What is the temperature of this sample?
