Water at a temperature of T= 25oC flows over one of the surfaces of a steel wall (AISI 1010 k_s =61.7W/mK) whose temperature is Ts,1= 40oC. The wall is 0.35m thick, and its other surface temperature is Ts,2= 100oC. For steady state conditions what is the convection coefficient associated with the water flow? What is the temperature gradient in the wall and what is the temperature gradient in the water that is in contact with the wall? Sketch the temperature distribution in the wall and in the adjoining water. Consider the thermal conductivity of the water at film (average) temperature (Tf= 32.5oC) is 0.62W/mK.
