Problem: A 30-cm diameter well is pumped at a constant rate in an unconfined aquifer with a hydraulic conductivity of 3.0 m/day. Before the well was installed, the regional water table had a constant elevation of 200 m. After pumping began, the system reached a state of equilibrium in which the elevation of the water table at the well itself was 180 m. At a location 0.5 km away from the well, the water table is undisturbed. If the bottom of the aquifer is at an elevation of 130 m, what is the steady state pumping rate in m3/day?
