An inexperience novice pilot was taking his brand new Cessna Skyhawk-172R plane for a trip from Tallahassee to Atlanta, which is 375 km due north. Unbeknownst to him there was a strong and steady westerly wind blowing at 73 km/hr so that he ended up in Augusta, GA which is 169 km due east of Atlanta 138.9 min later.

A: What is the average speed of the plane relative to the ground for the trip?

B: What is the speed of the plane in still air?

C: In which direction should the pilot be heading in order to reach Atlanta? Measure the angle from the northernly direction rotating counterclockwise.
