In the figure to the left, the pulley (which is in the form of a disk) has a mass of 7.50 kg and a radius of 35 cm. The smaller block is initially 3.80 above the floor and made of iron; it has a mass of 9.20 kg. The larger the block, which is initially on the floor, is made of wood and does not stretch. The pulley's axle is assumed to be friction less. The system is released from rest. What is the speed of the iron block just prior to its hitting the floor?
