A source of light, spreading out radially froma point source produces a sinusoidal electric field of amplitude of 6.88 V/m at a radial distance of 42.0m from the source. We want to determine the power output form the source.

a) Write an equation relating the average energy flow rate to the maximum value of E for a traveling electromagnetic wave.

b) Write an equation relating the total pwoer radiating out from a source (spherically symmetrical) to the intensity I at a radial distance r from the source.

c) What is the source's power output?

d) What is the magnetic field amplitude at twice the radial distance, 84.0m?
