Dr. Shelly Cantin is a psychopharmacologist who believes that she has developed an effective drug to enhance memory. To test her new drug, she gives a single dose of the compound to 15 volunteers. She allows the drug 20 minutes to take effect. Then, she asks the subjects to memorize a list of 40 Latin nouns. She then records how many words each subject correctly memorized. She also followed the same procedure with 15 people that did not take the drug first. Finally, she compared her results between the two groups and found that the average recall was far higher for those that took the drug versus those that did not take the drug. She concludes that her drug did indeed enhance their memories. What is the sample in this study
