The lethal nature of the disease naturally raises its importance in our planning and processes. The fact that the disease can be transmitted by contact with any blood or bodily fluid certainly makes it a top concern for healthcare professionals at all levels.

What are some of the key considerations for healthcare professionals in dealing with HIV and AIDS? Discuss staff refusal to treat AIDS patients, confidentiality aspects, mandatory testing, or any other aspects which you consider particularly important. You must discuss at least one related case to illustrate your discussion.
