A conducting bar with a mass of 0.155 kg and a length of 16.0 cm is suspended touching two vertical electrical contacts which form an electric circuit with a battery that has an electric potential of 8.5 V. The bar sits in an unknown magnetic field. The current that passes through the rod is 2.0 A.

(i) What is the resistance R that exists in the bar (assuming no resistance in any other wire)?

(ii) What is the magnetic field, both magnitude and direction, that would cause the bar to hover (i.e not accelerate upward or downward)
