Personnel Situations
1. Describe and analyze a problem dealing with either management or non-management personnel within your establishment.
2. Do not describe or analyze a problem in which you are a participant. Try to remain as objective as possible.
You are not being asked for a solution to the problem, rather you are being asked to observe what really happens
You should discuss at least the following:
1. Who were the individuals involved? (i.e., their positions and responsibilities)
2. What is the relationship between the jobs held by these individuals? (i.e., how do they relate to each other)
3. What appeared to be the problem?
4. What was the underlying problem, if any?
5. What caused the problem according to each of the persons involved?
6. Were the reasons given by each person different? Why?
7. What might have been some of the hidden causes?
8. Explain why you feel the above hidden causes relate to the problem.
9. Is there some additional information pertaining to the above problems that has not been covered?
