Hello all,
Morality is the behavior that a person believes they are obligated to engage in. They can be viewed as life rules or deeply held beliefs about what is right and wrong behavior. Whereas ethics can be thought of as a reflection of morals. Ethics is more concerned with a person's personal values. Both lay the groundwork for society, community, family, and more. Whereas ethics determines whether or not something is right or wrong. An act can be wrong while still being legal, and vice versa. One reason for this is that everyone has different ethics and morals. When it comes to the intertwining of law and morality, the moral rules established for society are the same for all. It is a person's ethical decision whether or not to follow them. To summarize, I believe ethics can play a role in law to some extent, but it is difficult because everyone has a different set of ethics and morals.

Good morning class,
Morality are principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong, or good and bad behavior. Ethics are the principles that make a person's behavior or how someone acts. Both of these ideas are outlines for society and how people view things to be. Morality is different for each person because each person lives to their own moral code. One person can see things as morally right whereas someone else can see that it is morally wrong. The basics of morality see murder, adultery, rape, lying and stealing as wrong. Where ethics explores the idea of morality and where it belongs in society. They also bring up questions about morality and weather it is morally right or wrong and if it belongs with the law. Most people follow the law because they know it is the right thing to do. It is their moral belief that if the law is broken it is wrong. Laws and morality or moral rules have been established for every person in society it is up to their personal ethical standards to follow them. Ethics should be part of the law, but it is hard to determine what ethics can be implemented because everyone has their own morals and ethical standards they follow.

The relationship between law, morality and ethics is that they all follow on simple desire which includes doing the "right thing". Yet, doing the "right thing" is subjective and looks different for all individuals. Yet, when relating all these components together, usually they have to correlate with one another. The law usually upholds the ethics that are imposed for how society should act and morality is sprinkled onto law in order to bring peace to those who it imposes on. Law should always reflect both morality and ethics. Because morality now a days is so volatile and not everyone has good morality in general. Yet, if it always follows the ethics of how things should run in a society then the law would be less flawed.
