Assignment -
Follow the steps - Import the excel file called GPA-Factors into SPSS.
1. Save as 'Personality' in SPSS.
2. Make sure variables are identified correctly (names and measure type)
3. You have the following scores:
a. Actual scores on N, E, O, P and A of the NEO
b. GPA for each person
c. Gender (two groups; 1 is female and 2 is male)
d. How many variables do you have based on the above?
4. Answer the following
a. Each of the personality variables is which type of data ?(circle the right answer).
i. Scale

b. Tell SPSS the data type for each variable using window variable view.

5. Create a data file on SPSS for all the variables above. For each variable give it

b. Specify the type of data for each variable (whether scale/categorical/ordinal).

6. Get SPSS to perform the following descriptive statistics for the whole sample.
a. What is the mean for each variable?
i. What is mean for actual N.
ii. What is the range of scores for actual N.
iii. What is the mean GPA.
iv. What is the range of GPA scores.
