3. Consider adding 1 g of breakfast burrito into 999 ml of water. Calculate 1,000-fold dilution for five consecutive tubes. Explain the dilution created for each tube (A, B, C, D, and E) by using a dilution scheme.

4. Why were you instructed to select the plate that contains 30-300 CFUs to count? What does TNTC stands for? What about TFTC? What is the formula to calculate the concentration of bacteria in the original sample (CFU/g)?

5. Suppose that in the plate "D" from exercise #3 above you counted 293 colonies. What is the concentration of bacteria in the original sample? Show your rationale and make sure that the result is expressed in "two-significant figures". Do not forget of variables units as showing them in your rationale, such as "colonies" and "CFU/ml" or "CFU/g".
