You are the Office of Emergency Management director in Pleasantville City, U.S.A. After presenting your Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) at the last council meeting, city officials want to know how it can be evaluated before an event occurs. The mayor has asked that create a presentation for the council that walks them through the exercise cycle and what the cycle exercise might look like for Pleasantville to evaluate their plan.
This is a critical presentation because you have asked for a significant increase in your EOC budget, but you also need funds to support your next exercise cycle.
In the presentation, describe the exercise cycle and establish the purpose and scope of an exercise for Pleasantville. Establish a target date for the exercise and develop a timeline to include the Concept and Objectives Meeting and 2-3 planning meetings. Describe the resources that will be needed to facilitate your exercise planning. Identify at least three key planning team members and describe their role in the exercise process.
