In the first few months of your new job, you will be in a probationary period where your employer will be assessing your performance and your suitability for the job, and making up their minds about whether you'll remain with the company. Once you've successfully completed your probationary period, you'll have ongoing performance reviews. Your employers will give you feedback on how well you're performing on the job and they will give you constructive criticism and identify opportunities for improvement from time to time. Being successful on the job and in your career includes asking for and receiving feedback on your performance, on how you're doing in the company and on the team, and what you need to work on or do differently in the future.
