Suppose that blood is pumped from the left side of a person's heart at a rate of 105.0 cm3/s, that the average pressure as blood enters the aorta is 115 Torr, and the average pressure as blood enters the heart (from the vena cava) is 4.5 Torr.

a) Calculate the work done per minute by the heart.

b) Calculate the power output of the heart.

c) We are really dealing with two pumps (the right and left sides of the heart). What is the pumping rate into the right side of the heart?
