Problem: Grant, a new manager at his firm, is a millennial who loves social media and would prefer to use Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter for most of his communications. He is having trouble with a few of his older employees missing impromptu meetings due to not being users of social media and missing the announcements. Grant believes this is the employees' fault and feels they are being insubordinate because he is a younger manager. Lately, there have been lots of complaints to higher management about Grant not being able to "relate" to his workers. What is the problem with Grant's communication?
