Life expectancy for females is higher than the life expectancy for males. One reason for this is that females a better job of seeing their doctor for routine physical exams. A recent article in Yesterday's News Today studied the frequency with which 50-year old males see their doctor for routine physical exams. The article provided a probability distribution for the number of physical exams during the last 5 years for this group of males. The distribution is provided below.
