The tire managers want the probability information about the number of tires out of 100 that will last over 75,000 miles. Let x denote the number of tire lasts over this amount. Engineers estimate that the mean tire is 20 tires that will last over 75,000 miles, standard deviation is 4. In addition, the data collected indicated that a normal distribution is a reasonable assumption.
