Paula Thompson is a 35-year-old client that presents to the emergency department with nausea and vomiting that started last night. The client is placed in the triage section of the emergency department and the physician is paged to evaluate the client. Thirty minutes later the client states to the registration clerk, "I don't feel good". The triage nurse walks over to the client and the client informs the nurse of sudden onset right lower quadrant pain and chills. The nurse assesses the client's vital signs, and they are BP 110/70, HR 125, RR 32, 02 saturation 95% on room air, and Temperature 101°F.
Client Medical History: Asthma, HTN, Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
Surgical History: Cholecystitis
Allergy: PCN and Eggs
