The Scenario:

The Mediation scenario is based on the Negotiation scenario. After the negotiated agreement between the City of Ottawa and the Freedom Convoy to move trucks from the downtown core of Ottawa was reached, The Federal government invoked the Emergency Act and forcibly began to remove protestors. The negotiated resolution did not satisfy the Federal Government. The Federal Government believed that invoking of the Emergency Act was justified and the Protestors believe that their civil liberties were violated. A Mediator was brought in to try to resolve the conflict. The role of you and your Mediator partner(s) is to bring resolution to the situation. The pressure has now increased as the situation has gained the attention of the USA and European Countries.
