Assuming that minimal heat is lost out the top, that the vacuum among the two layers of the bottle inhibits conductive and convective heat transfer and that the inner glass layer is coated with silver with an emissivity of e = 0.1, what is the power radiated initially? (The outside temperature is 20 oC and infrared radiation from outside makes the effective temperature of the vacuum 20 oC; the surface area of the thermos is 700 cm2.)
