BACKGROUND: This is constructed a little differently than your previous assignments. Rather than everyone going to the identical site for your information, you have some choices on this one. The purpose of the assignment is to ascertain what American political parties stand for. You should select two political parties, find their web sites and then compare those two parties' positions on four issues.
DIRECTIONS: Locate two American political parties of your choosing. I am including the last known web sites for seven American political parties. (NOTE: They may have changed, so be prepared to use a web search engine to find the ones you are most interested in.)
Communist Party
Constitution Party
Democratic Party
Democratic Socialist Party
Green Party
Libertarian Party
Republican Party
When you have located two party sites, navigate until you find something that resembles a "party platform" or statement of policy positions. This will be different for each site, so take your time. If you can't find the appropriate information within 10 minutes, then try a different site. Then proceed to the questions.
