Question: Patient with diagnosis of Peptic Ulcer Disease and positive for H. Pylori, please respond to this student's discussion post about the plan of care for this patient. What plan of care will Mr. Rodriquez be given at this visit, including drug therapy and treatments; what is the patient education and follow-up?

The patient should avoid ibuprofen and other NSAIDs due to their known side effects, which include GI bleeding, indigestion, stomach aches, and stomach ulcers (Machado, 2021). The patient should know that the most crucial step is adhering to the recommended treatment schedule. Triple therapy, which comprises a PPI, Clarithromycin, and Amoxicillin twice daily, is the recommended treatment. The patient has to be informed about the treatment's side effects. Additionally, the patient should be congratulated for quitting smoking and advised on how to continue doing so.
