Design a ceiling diffuser. Air flows in the duct behind the diffuser and enters the diffuser at a pressure of 12.8psia, and a velocity of 200in/sec. The outlet of the diffuser is in the room, with atmospheric pressure of 14.5 psi. For the comfort of the inhabitants of the room, we need the outlet temperature to be 70F, and the air velocity reduced to 80in/sec.

How cool, does the inlet temperature need to be?

What is the outlet to inlet area ratio (A2, A1) of this diffuser?
