1. The Big Swim King Denver distribution center maintains an inventory of Styrofoam kick-boards. They want to manage their inventory and have kept track of the average monthly demand for kick-boards (by number of pallets) over the past two years as shown in the table below.

There is a 15-day lead time for pallets to be delivered to the distribution center, with an ordering cost of $100 per order. The center has to lease the warehouse and utilize and maintain moving equipment (forklifts)and so estimates a carrying cost of $10.00 per pallet per year. The distribution center is open and operational all year for 5 days a week, except for 2 weeks of vacation.
