Assuming frictionless conditions, a table has a hanging mass, m1, over a pulley at the left side and another hanging mass, m2, over a pulley on the right side. These two masses are connected to a third mass, m3, resting on the table surface. Light cords connect m1 to m3 and m3 to m2 so that all three move together.

a) if m1 = .2kg, m2 = .5kg, & m3 = .3kg, what will be the acceleration of the system?

b) If m1 = .45kg, & m2 = .3kg, & m3 = .25kg what is the new accelration of the system?
