1. Methods: What is the necessity of writing a methods section? This has to do with the repeatable nature of scientific observations and experiments.
What is observational, measurement or experimental error? This is a different definition of error than most of you may be used to. It is not a mistake. Look it up if you are not sure. I think the children's game "telephone" is an example. In the game, you tell a person something, they tell someone else, etc. until the phrase has been passed around the room. The last person says the phrase out loud then the original phrase is revealed; usually to laughter at how different they are.
What is a control in an experiment? You might want to explore positive and negative controls. Again, this word may mean something new for you. What is the relationship between the control(s) and variables?

3. Background: The background information for an experiment/report is why the study is scientifically important and how it fits in with current knowledge and gaps in that knowledge. What are some important aspects of the background for your homeostasis experiment? Please reply to share your information. Please do not include everything. This is designed to have everyone reply and contribute. Therefore, it would be counter-productive if the first person wrote a complete background section. Students should reply with some of their plans and help with suggestions for others. Other people's perspectives can be very important in planning and executing an experiment and writing about the results (or anything).
