Problem

Jane is a 40 year old female who presents to the office with a one month history of decreased appetite, fatigue, and intermittent RUQ abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting. The episodes of pain, nausea and vomiting lasts for approximately 24 hours and occur only after eating certain types of foods. Jane reports that she has no medical problems, takes a daily multivitamin, exercises regularly, but has a busy work schedule and frequently either skips meals or eats fast food on the run.

On physical exam, Jane's vital signs are normal, she is afebrile, her urine dipstick is negative, she has no CVA tenderness, but her abdomen is tender to palpation in the right upper quadrant.
