Looking at the regression model in your current workplace

  1. What is the most important factor (variable) that needs to be predicted accurately at work? Why? Justify its selection as your dependent variable.
  2. What are other potential dependent variables in this context?
  3. Consider your dependent variable of choice. What are all the factors you can think of that can help predict it?
  4. From the set of the factors above, list independent variables (4 or 5) for your regression model. Why did you choose each one? Justify their inclusion. 
  5. After your have selected your independent variables, write out the multiple regression equation conceptually
  6. How will you perform your regression? What assumptions will you check for? After the analysis, what will you look for in the results?
