The primary care NP gets a telephone call from a patient stating that the topical tretinoin 0.025% cream prescribed nightly a couple of weeks ago for facial acne is complaining of access dryness and peeling skin. What is the most appropriate advice given by the NP? Change the dosage to 0.05 strength formulation. Expose the skin to sunlight for 20 minutes daily. Apply the cream to wet skin immediately after cleansing. Decrease the usage to every other night.
